Geography Department
Introduction
Geography, due to its enjoyment in school and its increasing relevance to our lives in the outside world, is a very popular GCSE option. Areas studied span all scales from local problems to worldwide topics. The emphasis is on our relationship with the environment and therefore many of today’s real issues such as acid rain, global warming, resource management and economic growth are central to the course. Geography provides young people with greater awareness of day to day lives and contributes to their employability.
