Welcome to King's Bruton

King's Bruton is an HMC boarding and day school educating 340 boys and girls aged 13 to 18 in the strikingly beautiful Somerset town of Bruton. Our most recent Ofsted and ISI inspections have rated our education as 'outstanding' and 'excellent' respectively. Our significant strengths include the school’s size, recent best ever academic results, and renowned pastoral care. Pupils of all abilities are nurtured and challenged, and we are proud of our nationally acknowledged record of adding value to each child’s performance in the classroom.

We have seven boarding Houses – four boys, three girls – in which boarders and day pupils are fully integrated, another major strength of the school. Boys and girls cannot get lost, hide or drift here. Pupils have opportunities to both participate and excel in sport, music, drama and a host of extra-curricular activities, ranging from kayaking to debating, horse-riding to critical thinking.
