King's Bruton actively encourages all members of the School community to look beyond the School to those in our world who need help and support. The Good Causes Committee, with representatives from each boarding house, co-ordinates the student fundraising activities for the School.
A Charity of the Year is chosen, through house elections, at the end of each Summer Term. We are delighted to announce that during 2015-16 the school community raised £1,720 for our chosen charity Cardiac Risk in the Young. Alongside this were scores of other individual and group fundraising efforts for numerous other charities and the Grand Total raised for all charities in 2015-16 was £4,452.
The chosen charity for this year 2016-17 is CLIC Sargent for children with cancer.
Any enquiries about the Good Causes Committee should be made to the Chair of the Good Causes Committee, Mike Keogh.
