Pupils studying A-Levels at King’s enjoy being taught by inspirational teachers; teachers who are keen to share their passion for their subject and allow all pupils to achieve their academic potential.
The A-Level programme is diverse and allows for continuation of GCSE subjects while also providing pupils with the opportunity to broaden their horizons and study subjects such as Economics, Psychology, Business Studies, History of Art and Philosophy, for the first time.
Pupils studying A-Levels at King’s will benefit from the freedom they are given to explore and diverge from the course specifications and pupils are encouraged to share ideas, explore new directions and take advantage of the strong enrichment culture at King’s.
Pupils studying A-Levels at King’s are asked to study four subjects in the L6th Form and complete an Extended Project Qualification. This allows pupils to keep their subject base broad and explore different interests before narrowing their choice down to three subjects in the U6th Form. Pupils may also choose to study a combination of BTECs and A-levels.
Pupils at King’s will embark on a journey through the 6th Form that will not only provide them with a stimulating education, but the emotional and intellectual development to enable them to progress to university, apprenticeships or employment.
