Wellesley House was the first Girls’ house and we have a special team spirit that is evident everywhere.
The House has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where everyone looks after one another; the older girls acting as ‘big sister’ to the younger girls with time, encouragement and words of advice. We enjoy spending time together, whether baking brownies, cuddling Lola the lab or going on house trips to Spalshdown!
Wellesley girls always give time and commitment to all they do and they are encouraged to reach their full potential academically, musically, artistically or on the sports field. The House opened in 1987 with just eight 6th Form girls and now we have more than five times as many girls aged between 13 – 18, who over the years have gone to Oxbridge, reached Grade VIII with distinction in music and represented their County, and Country in sport.
Since arriving at Wellesley House, my aim has always been to ensure the girls feel happy, safe and secure in a home from home environment and these essential needs in place, I believe they will thrive and develop. The girls and I would love to show you what we believe to be a very special House - do keep up to date with everything by following our Twitter feed below.
