5th Form RN CCF cadets visit HMS Prince of Wales in Portsmouth
Last week, our 5th Form RN CCF cadets had an incredible opportunity to visit HMS Prince of Wales in Portsmouth.
Escorted onto the base by serving Royal Navy personnel, cadets toured the aircraft carrier, exploring everything from the bridge, cabins and mess decks to the medical and weapons facilities. The day finished in the hangar, where cadets took part in a range of hands-on activities and met personnel from different branches of the Royal Navy. 5th Form pupil Dash enthused, "It was a surreal experience to step onto the flight deck where aircraft blasted off from months prior. It was amazing to see the true power and technological advancements of the Royal Navy." while JJ said that her favourite part of the trip was seeing parts of the ship that no one gets to see, saying, "It was an experience I will never forget!"
A fantastic experience and a real insight into life and careers within the Armed Forces.
