Best ever A Level and BTec results!

I am delighted that King’s Bruton is celebrating quite outstanding A Level and BTec exam results. These are the best exam results in my time as Headmaster, even including the last two years of TAGs and CAGs. I think this reflects the quality and consistency of the teaching and learning that we provided throughout the pandemic. As you will no doubt have seen in the media, the number of A*/A grades awarded nationally has dropped significantly to return towards the grade profile seen in 2019. However, our results buck this trend with 58% of grades being awarded A*/A and 75.4% of grades awarded A*-B. 84% of BTEC grades were Distinction*/ Distinction (equivalent to an A*/A at A Level) with 58% of grades being awarded the top D* grade.
