We are seeking an Estates Team Member to assist in the busy maintenance team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of practical competence and understanding. In addition, applicants should be effective team players, professional in their approach and display a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Driving licence required.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is also a requirement to be on-call for one full week (including weekends) on a rota basis (for which an additional flat rate payment is made).

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Fees Administrator to oversee our Parent / Pupil Accounts. The successful candidate will support the Finance Bursar in providing a professional, customer-focused Finance service for King’s Bruton School and Hazlegrove Preparatory School.
We can consider a flexible working pattern for this post and welcome applications from candidates seeking either full‑time or part‑time hours:
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm OR Part-time: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.00pm
The role is term-time preferred, in line with the school calendar. However, working during the Easter and Christmas holiday periods will be required to support the operational needs of the school. We are happy to discuss individual working arrangements at interview.
Key Responsibilities:
About You:
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple deadlines, and keep accurate records at all times. A confident and reassuring communicator, able to handle difficult or sensitive conversations with parents calmly and professionally, maintaining positive long-term relationships.
Comfortable explaining invoices, charges and payment plans clearly to parents, resolving queries promptly and escalating issues appropriately when required. Able to handle confidential financial and personal information with discretion and integrity, in line with school policies and data protection requirements.
Experience in finance or school administration is desirable, along with confidence using finance systems, spreadsheets and databases to support accurate fee administration.

King’s School, Bruton, an independent co-educational senior boarding school, is looking to recruit a part-time Registered Nurse with minor injuries / illness experience to work as part of a small team in the School Health Centre.
The requirement is term time only (34 weeks) for 20 hours per week Monday to Saturday and to cover On Call. This may involve weekend and evening working. The team of nurses provide 24-hour medical cover for pupils, 13-18 years, and staff, with an on-call system for nights and Sundays.

This is a pivotal role with strategic and operational responsibility for all safeguarding and child protection matters across both schools. Working closely with the Headmasters, senior leadership teams, governors and external agencies, the FDSL will lead safeguarding practice, manage referrals, oversee policies and procedures, and support and coordinate Deputy DSLs at each school.
The successful candidate will be a visible and trusted presence, providing expert advice and guidance to staff, delivering training, and helping to embed a strong safeguarding culture throughout the Foundation. The role also encompasses oversight of wellbeing and mental health, online safety and Prevent duty responsibilities.
We are seeking a highly organised professional with substantial safeguarding experience, sound judgement and excellent communication skills. You will bring warmth, resilience and authority to the role, with a clear commitment to promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
