Non Teaching Staff - Current Vacancies

CLEANER

Average of 18.5 hours per week, Term Time Only

A cleaner is required to clean a Boarding House 9.00/9.30am – 1.00/1.30pm Monday to Friday with additional Boarding House cleaning 8.30am – 10.30am one Saturday in three, during term time only.

Teaching Staff - Current Vacancies

Head of Chemistry

Full Time Position from September 2020

An inspirational, innovative and passionate Head of Chemistry is required to lead this successful department from September 2020. The successful applicant will be a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Chemistry with either a specialist or Chemistry related degree.

This is an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Chemistry teacher to make a genuine difference to pupil progress throughout the school in this important core subject. The successful applicant will lead the department, working closely with the Head of Biology and Head of Physics whilst also teaching GCSE and A Level Chemistry on a reduced timetable.

At KS4 Chemistry forms part of the core curriculum, where all pupils study Chemistry as part of either the single, double or triple science routes. Chemistry is offered at A Level with a number of pupils going on to study Medicine, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Engineering degrees at university.

The Chemistry department benefits from outstanding facilities, well resourced laboratories and technician support.

Teacher of Spanish with French

Full Time Position from September 2020

An inspirational and suitably-qualified teacher of Spanish and French is required to join the very successful MFL department at King’s from September 2020. The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher with either a Spanish or MFL-related degree.

This is an opportunity for a passionate language teacher to make a genuine difference in the MFL department and to the progress of pupils throughout the school. The successful applicant will teach A Level and GCSE Spanish and will also teach some 3rd Form/ GCSE French.

At KS4 and KS5, Spanish and French are two of three MFL options offered to pupils as part of the GCSE and 6th Form curriculum.  Spanish remains a popular language option at both A Level and GCSE and pupils benefit from a fantastic programme of enrichment to further enhance and support teaching. The MFL department is very well resourced and benefits from both French and Spanish Language Assistants.

The role would suit a well-qualified teacher who would enjoy the challenge of joining a dynamic and successful department. The successful applicant will be a creative and passionate teacher who enjoys helping pupils of all abilities succeed. There may also be the possibility to combine this position with a Resident Tutor position in the school.
