Drama is stronger than ever at King’s with the dedicated Fitzjames Theatre being crammed full with a busy schedule each term.
There is an energetic and highly productive Drama programme for the whole School. Indeed, Drama is open to everyone at King’s, be it on stage basking in the spotlight, or being part of the vital backstage team responsible for the smooth running of shows. The video below provides an outline of Drama at King's.
The main School Production, the Junior Play, House Plays, 6th Form Plays and Staff Plays are regular features of the Performing Arts’ Calendar; there are opportunities aplenty to be involved and to benefit from the enriching experience of being part of a creative team, working towards a common goal.
Many pupils choose to take Trinity Guildhall tuition to supplement their training and enhance their enjoyment of dramatic arts, others still involve themselves in Dance Workshops in order to progress as performers and have some fun. It is possible to join the Backstage Activity group, who are trained in lighting, sound, set construction and stage management skills throughout the year, and who are the bedrock for the backstage teams in each of our shows. Whatever your interest, whatever your skill and whatever your experience, there is a role for you in Drama.
