The School Health Centre is easily accessible to all pupils, being situated centrally within the School and provides a quality Medical and Health Service for both day and boarding pupils.

A dedicated team of professional and experienced nurses provide care throughout the term, within a homely and friendly environment. The nurses are available for emergencies during the School day and are on call from home overnight. Pupils can be seen with a prior arrangement in the fully equipped treatment room. We are supported by a team of experienced General Practitioners (G.P.s) at the local doctor’s surgery in Bruton. A private physiotherapist will see pupils by arrangement, and a qualified counsellor runs confidential sessions some afternoons in the week. Pupils with specific medical needs, such as asthma, will have regular reviews with the specialist Nurse.

We work very closely with the House Matrons, Housemasters/Housemistress’s, teachers, and parents to ensure the wellbeing of each pupil. All our Nurses have experience of working with adolescents and children. We all have personal experience as parents and families in international boarding schools and are a key support for the happy healthy life of the King’s Bruton community.
