This is a time of opportunity, a chance to explore new ventures, new learning, new responsibilities, new futures, and so to discover and realise their individual potential. At King’s we are ambitious to make this time as fruitful as possible, whilst fostering a greater sense of independence in pupils, be that in their academic studies, or in the choices they make beyond the classroom. Our aim is to see pupils prepared for and ready to step into the demands of the world ahead of them.

A Time to be Ambitious

The Sixth Form is a time to be ambitious, to aim high and to realise the potential in each individual. We challenge pupils to be ambitious in three key areas:

  • ambitious with time, ensuring they make the most of every one of the many opportunities available to them in these two key years;
  • ambitious with academic studies, no matter what their level, pushing themselves (and being supported in doing so) to achieve as much as possible in their studies, aided by a wide array of options;
  • ambitious with their futures, identifying what is best for the individual from the wide array of options available to them.

    King's Bruton has offered both my girls every opportunity to excel and enjoy their time at school. Its warm and supportive environment has provided them with a comfortable confidence within themselves and a knowledge of what they are capable of. As parents we have always had utter confidence in the School’s ability to focus on the individual child and help them to become the best that they can be.
