Boarding Life at King's

Some recent outings, trips and activities for the boarders...

24 girls from Priory and Wellesley went to Hollywood Bowl in Yeovil for a game of ten pin bowling. Great fun was had by all and it turns out that Jess, Lucy, Kitty and Mr Loveless are very good at bowling winning in their lanes with scores of over 100. After that they had a real treat at Kaspas Desserts and were spoilt for choice with waffles, crepes and ice creams all on offer. They thoroughly enjoyed their sugar overload and returned to King’s happy and tired. New House boarders went shopping in Frome to replenish tuck supplies and then enjoyed a McDonald’s for lunch! Arion ladies went on a walk and a trip to the park in the sunshine followed by unlimited pizza and chips in the Chapel.

The boy's houses played Buckhorn Weston Hockey club on a beautiful winter's day up at the King’s astroturf. They enjoyed a cracking game with boys from King’s and one or two prospective pupils coming along to take on the might of our local village hockey team (to which we have a long affiliation of friendly hockey matches over the years). All had a great deal of fun with 3rd Form pupils mixing with U6th Form and adults all afternoon. They then hosted a BBQ on the pitches run by the U6th Form in Lyon and invited the School community to join them - Thanks to Tom and Juan on the BBQ all afternoon for cooking up over 100 burgers and hot dogs for visitors and guests.
