The A Level Musicians gave a recital to parents, staff, pupils and visitors from Bruton Primary School...
On Thursday afternoon, a group of A Level Musicians gave a short recital in preparation for their A Level performance component to be recorded in the Easter Term of the U6th Form. The programme contained a variety of styles opening with Mozart’s Aria Ridente la calma followed by Haydn’s Now heav’n in fullest glory shines from the Oratorio The Creation. We then moved to a drum kit piece by Jimi Hendrix Fire before hearing John Rutter’s setting of the Requiem text Pie Jesu. Finally, the recital concluded with Smoke gets in your eyes arranged for Trombone.
It was super to welcome parents, staff, pupils and visitors from Bruton Primary School to the performance.
