King’s Bruton hosted the U15 Girls’ Lady Taverners Somerset Region Qualifiers...
In the first game of the afternoon, King’s restricted Downside School to 35 all out of their allocated overs. In response, King’s made a positive start with the bat and reached their target inside the third over.
In the final game of the day, King’s elected to field first against Millfield School. A run out in the first over after some excellent fielding from Minnie ensured that King’s applied pressure early in the Millfield innings. Restricting Millfield to 67, King’s knew they would need to run well and build partnerships with the bat. Unfortunately, King’s fell agonisingly short of the target in the final over of the game.
All the squad can be extremely proud of their efforts and a great build up to their busy summer season ahead!
