It is brilliant to celebrate the success of our aspiring hockey players and to recognise their achievement of being selected for the Team Bath Buccaneers Talent Academy for the 2023/2024 season. The Talent Academy system is designed to give players weekly high-quality coaching and training between players from different schools, clubs and county set ups, with the intention of providing a competitive and challenging hockey environment.

Having gone through a robust selection process which is based on players possessing attributes which England Hockey value highly, I am delighted that these King’s Bruton pupils have the opportunity to access this weekly training. Whilst a significant aspect of their development occurs through the opportunities offered by the King’s Bruton Hockey Programme, these Talent Academy Sessions are the next step in these players pursing their hockey ambitions.

I am delighted that Ashtyn, Felix, Minnie, Georgia, Freddie, Matilda and Ben want to take the next step in reaching their goals and I am proud that these pupils have ambitions of competing at the highest levels of hockey.
