Scholarships and Exhibitions are awarded to recognise exceptional ability and promise, and pupils entering both the 3rd Form and 6th Form are warmly encouraged to apply. The process is designed to be a positive and inspiring experience—an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate what they can truly achieve in their chosen field, whether academic, artistic, sporting, musical, or otherwise. Assessments take place during the year prior to joining King’s, and the maximum value of any Scholarship or combined Scholarships is 20% of fees.
For families requiring financial support beyond this, means‑tested bursaries are available, with applications accepted at any time. Together, the programme reflects King’s commitment to nurturing talent, celebrating excellence, and opening doors for pupils who are ready to challenge themselves and shine.

Art Scholarships
An Art Scholarship allows creative pupils to showcase their imagination, technical skill and artistic voice. Candidates present a portfolio of work from the last two years and take part in practical activities on Assessment Day, demonstrating creativity, reflection and collaboration. Interviews with the Art Department and the Headmaster explore each candidate’s potential and artistic ambitions. At King’s, Art Scholars are supported in pushing boundaries and developing their unique style.
Sports Scholarships
Our Sports Scholarships enable young athletes to demonstrate their drive, sporting ability and enthusiasm for personal development. Candidates should have reached 1st Team level across all three terms and submit a short video highlighting their skills and passion for sport. On Assessment Day, they will take part in a range of assessments designed to reveal leadership, resilience, teamwork and athletic potential, followed by interviews with the Headmaster and Director of Sport. Scholars are supported to excel in their chosen sports and to make the most of King’s outstanding athletic opportunities.

A Music Scholarship provides a platform for young musicians to express their talent, perform with confidence and share their musical story. Candidates offer two instruments (including voice) and perform a selection of pieces as well as completing musicianship tests. In addition to financial support, Music Scholars receive free tuition on two instruments, ensuring they can continue developing their talents at King’s.
