The L6^th Form artists paid a visit to the latest exhibitions at Hauser and Wirth Somerset during last period on Wednesday. The exhibitions were Josephsohn / Märkli: A Conjunction and Rita Ackermann: Turning Air Blue.

The sculptural reliefs of the Swiss sculptor Josephsohn and the large scale figurative paintings of Ackermann proved to be an excellent complement to our current round of life classes. Debbie Hillyerd, the educational lead, gave us an excellent introduction to the show. In spite of the brevity of the visit the pupils all found the experience valuable in extending the range of their studies. Trips such as this provide valuable experiences to enrich and stretch the pupils in the Sixth Form.
