Members of the L6^th Form and Psychology Club took part in an exciting opportunity to watch a brain dissection. 

Part of the L6^th Form course is to look at the structure and function of a brain. Pupils were able to look at these structures first-hand, being able to feel and understand the workings of the brain. Within the dissection, we were able to look at two types of brains. One was a preserved sheep's brain and the other a veal calf's brain. The pupils were able to touch and see the differences in the anatomical structure comparing it to a human brain, learning about the problems with brain damage and relating it to their knowledge of OCD.  

The  L6^th Form Psychology pupils said - ‘It was interesting and something they would have never thought they would have seen before.’ One also commented that ‘It was fascinating to see the structures and learn how the brain works.’
