Fantastic feedback for Hermione and Mae at the Springboard Future Chef Competition...

On Tuesday 9^th January, two King's Bruton pupils (Hermione and Mae), competed in the Somerset’s heat of the Springboard Future Chef Competition. Pupils have to turn up to a professional catering kitchen, are given a quick tour of their workspaces, and then they have an hour to create their dishes in front of 4 chefs and college staff. It is a challenging experience for the pupils, as they are under an incredible amount of pressure (MasterChef format!).

The two pupils had fantastic feedback, and were told that if they had competed 3 years ago they would have won, the standard of this year was extremely high.

Hermione came a very close second - 2 marks behind the winner and was just pipped by the complexity of the dish. Well done to the girls who took part, they are absolute superstars.
