A great start to the Cricket season at King’s...

King's kicked off the much-anticipated cricket season with a block fixture against Monkton Combe School. The 1st XI lost the toss and found themselves batting first. An opening stand of 85 runs between Jay and Ben saw the team off to a good start. Ben batted superbly and scored a fine 66. After losing a couple of quick wickets, the team rebuilt well and finished with a strong 172-7 off their 30 overs. In reply, opening bowlers Oscar and Max restricted Monkton early with a couple of great wickets. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals and King's ran out winners by 30 runs. A great start to the 1st XI season. Man of the Match was awarded to Ben.

The 2nd XI travelled away to Monkton Combe. Batting first, a fine 110 from Oscar saw the team post a very competitive 210 of their 30 overs. King's showed real character with the ball and restricted Monkton to 155 all out and won by 55 runs.

The U15As showed real character with the bat against a strong Monkton side. Freddie's half century saw King's home with two balls to spare in the game. A great win for our U15As.

The U15Bs chased down Monkton's total of 65 within 10 overs. A really classy performance from the whole team.

The U14s posted 150 for 4 batting first against Monkton. Milo made an impressive 50 supported well by Charles who made 38 not out. In response, King’s were far too strong with the ball and won the game by 126 runs.

The U14Bs chased down 145 with three overs to spare. A special mention to Issa for his 35 off 14 balls.

A mixed Senior and Junior Girls XI ran out winners by 7 runs in a really exciting game. Minnie scored 26 not out off just 10 balls.

Oscar was presented with his Honours Cap from the Headmaster in recognition for his 110 for the 2nd XI against Monkton Combe on Saturday.
