Congratulations to Amelia Warren who performed on BBC Radio Somerset a song she composed to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War of 1914-18.

Having visited some First World War battlefield sites and memorials in France with her father during the summer holiday, Amelia was inspired to put together the song. Amelia wrote the lyrics and set them to the tune of "The Wearing of the Green" which was the theme song of the London Irish Rifles, the regiment her Great Great Grandfather was in. Amelia had performed the song at Hauser & Wirth Art Gallery a few times, before performing it to be broadcast by BBC Radio Somerset. We are all looking forward to hearing Amelia perform the song at our Sunday Remembrance Chapel Service this weekend. A recording of Amelia's interview and song as broadcast on BBC Radio Somerset can be seen below.
