The Hazlegrove and King’s Joint Concert was a vibrant celebration of the musical excellence thriving across the Foundation. Held in the Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall at King’s, the evening brought together a wealth of talent and energy, delighting the audience with a varied and uplifting programme.

The Joint Military Band and Chapel Choir delivered captivating performances, setting a high standard from the outset. One of the evening’s standout moments came from the Joint Choir’s spirited rendition of Everyone Sang by Alexander L'Estrange and Joanna Forbes L'Estrange, drawn from the powerful work Freedom! The Power of Song. Their performance was moving particularly given the proximity of VE Day and the interweaving of the hymn Abide with me within the work.

Adding further variety to the evening, ensembles such as the Trombone Group, Hazlegrove Voices, Wind Band and Rock Bands impressed with their dynamic and polished performances, demonstrating the broad range of musical talent across the schools.

From start to finish, the pupils performed with enthusiasm, skill, and confidence, all within the warm and encouraging atmosphere created by a wonderfully supportive audience.

Thank you and congratulations to every musician involved!
