Old Brutonian London Lunch
The A Level Recital was a wonderful celebration of the talent and hard work of our A Level musicians. The programme offered an engaging mix of styles, beginning with Nostalgia by Horsley, performed with expressive warmth by Boo. The Baroque Ensemble - Xander, Lioba and Boo - followed with a poised and assured performance of Quantz’s Trio Sonata: Adagio & Allegro. Xander delivered a heartfelt performance of Menken’s Evermore, bringing lyricism and strong musical character to the piece. The recital concluded with Lioba’s compelling account of the first movement of Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor, played with clarity and control.
It was a lovely afternoon recital, reflecting the dedication and musicianship of all involved.
