King’s Vs Wells Cathedral School (Home) Win 3-2
A great performance to round off a top season for our senior football team. We took an early lead when Tommy W made a direct run into the box from the wing, scoring a clinical goal. We had plenty of opportunities from corners to extend our lead, as we dominated the aerial battles. However, Wells played the counterattack effectively to level the score just before half-time. In the second half, we moved the ball forward with greater purpose, making better use of our pace and movement to score two quick-fire goals and clinch the victory.
Players of the Match were awarded to Figgy PH and Algie M for their outstanding second-half performances. Figgy PH was unlucky not to walk away with a hat-trick, as his well-timed runs and impressive finishing created constant danger. Algie M stepped up commendably in defence, driving the team forward with some inspirational through-balls and expertly closing down the opposition's attacking line.
