The Summer Concert provided a wonderful celebration of the breadth and quality of music-making at King’s. Featuring performances from the Orchestra, Military Band, School Choir, Chapel Choir, Big Band and a wide range of chamber ensembles, the programme showcased the remarkable talents of pupils across all year groups. Highlights included Samuel’s expressive performance of the slow movement from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, Maria’s stylish rendition of The Pink Panther, both with the Orchestra and outstanding vocal contributions from Lottie and Xander with the Big Band. From classical masterpieces and jazz standards to rock and contemporary choral works, the evening offered something for everyone and was a fitting culmination of a busy and successful musical year at King’s. Well done and congratulations to all and particular thanks to all those leaving King’s this for their fabulous contribution to Music.
