On Thursday 11th September, 40 pupils in the 5th Form travelled to Bristol for their GCSE Geography fieldwork. The group gained a unique perspective of the city via a guided boat tour, which visited historic sites such as SS Great Britain and Bristol Harbour, whilst giving the pupils an insight into urban regeneration. The pupils then undertook their fieldwork in the Temple Quarter, a newly regenerated part of the city. Pupils recorded data that will allow them to analyse the success of this regeneration, and to evaluate the benefits of the project for the people of Bristol. Pupils also got a taste of the social opportunities provided in a growing, dynamic city, as they paid a visit to Cabot Circus shopping centre.
