Music Facilities
- The Queen Elizabeth Music School provides state-of-the-art facilities and an unrivalled base for music at King’s.
- The Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall is an outstanding performance venue with adjustable acoustic curtains.
- Classrooms include a Mac suite using Logic Pro X software for the teaching of Music Technology and also a computer room with Sibelius software and MIDI Controller Keyboards.
- In addition, there is an extensive recording studio with a control room and vocal booth, various practice rooms and a dedicated percussion room.
Ensembles and Activities
There is exceptional breadth and quality on offer for pupils at King’s, with musicians of all levels encouraged to perform regularly and develop their confidence as performers. With over 25 public performances each year, alongside a wide range of choirs and instrumental ensembles rehearsing weekly, there are opportunities for every pupil, whatever their level of experience.
The Queen Elizabeth Music School is a vibrant hub of musical life, alive with lessons, rehearsals and private practice throughout the day. A warm and supportive atmosphere is carefully nurtured, and the constant flow of musicians through the building gives the department its distinctive character.
