Food Science 4th Form

4th Form have been reducing their carbon footprint and sourcing seasonal produce.

Rather than buying frozen Serbian Blackberries from the supermarkets, we sourced them from the hedges around school. This sparked off conversations about reducing food miles, using seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as reducing packaging waste. We then turned the blackberries into delicious scones in their first practical lesson of the year.

Well done all.
