Claire Ferley appointed as Arion Housemistress

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Claire Ferley as Arion Housemistress from September 2026, taking over from Beth Griffiths who has been a fantastic Housemistress over the past 15 years. 

Claire joins us from Wrekin College where she is Head of Boarding, Housemistress, Head of Swimming and PE Teacher. Prior to this, she spent 20 years at Sibford School where she held various roles including Director of Sport and Housemistress for Sixth Form boarders. Claire has a strong passion for boarding life and is dedicated to creating a supportive, homely and engaging environment where pupils can thrive academically, emotionally and socially. She also enjoys and values the importance of extra-curricular activities and particularly enjoys coaching swimming, netball and hockey.

She says: "My family and I are very much looking forward to joining the King’s Bruton community.  I am excited be taking on the role of Housemistress of Arion and aim to continue to support the great ethos, family atmosphere, energy and team spirit already so well established within the house."

We look forward to welcoming Claire and her family to King’s Bruton in September.
