The whole school production of A Christmas Carol was enjoyed by everyone

With nearly 40 pupils in the cast and crew, our production of A Christmas Carol not only showed the strength and depth of dramatic talent at King’s, but also provided a fantastic opportunity for the year groups to collaborate, to create and to enjoy their time together. Dickens’ tale is as relevant today as it was in the 1840s; certainly, those involved felt the warmth of Christmas spirit produced by their endeavours. An array of acting talent was on display, from 6th Form to 3rd Form, from novices to well-seasoned performers; all gave their best over the three performances and were keen to perfect their roles through to the final curtain. There were so many strong performances, however special mention must go to Jamie, who stepped into the role of Marley with just two rehearsals remaining. The backstage and technical support crew were equally impressive as the onstage performers, showing strong levels of concentration, proactivity and teamwork. It was a genuine pleasure to work with such a committed and good-humoured team.
