Sunday Trip: Laser Tag, Laser Assault Somerset
This year’s House Badminton was played in good spirits, with each house putting out 4 of their strongest badminton players. In the senior boy’s event, Blackford house dominated winning 3/4 games. Blackford’s A pairing of Sihan & Kristian proved too strong for Lyon and New house. They took control in both matches displaying a range of shots from high lobs, powerful smashes, and precise drop shots.
In the senior girl’s event, Priory won all 4 matches claiming the win. Morgan, Izzy, Rosie, and Flo all showed great attitude and positivity during every point. Wellesley finished a close 2nd managing to get two rubbers on the board in the last two games. Sophie and Eva showed good perseverance during their last game against Arion, winning 21-17.
In the junior’s, the New house team of Archie, Lochie, Danny, and Dash proved to be a strong team. They made very few mistakes and managed to win all 4 matches convincingly. Archie & Lochie gave New house a big lead with a convincing win over Blackford and Lyon, winning 21-7 in both matches.
Wellesley took the win in the junior girl’s match winning all 4 doubles matches with ease. They played consistent badminton and took opportunities to finish the point when they were presented.
