14 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition pupils headed off to the NEC Birmingham to go to the BBC Good Food Show. Pupils were able to sample a variety of treats, the most popular being the ice cream or fudge stand! Many of them enjoyed watching a cheese demonstration from a producer in Cornwall, discussing how to make cheese and what makes theirs different. We then had a demonstration from Genaro Contaldo who showed us how to use simple fresh ingredients and made three dishes, one of which was a fantastic looking Seabass dish.
We all had a great day out and it was inspiring for the pupils.
