The charity of the Easter term this year was The Farming Community Network, as nominated by U6th Will (Blackford). The FCN supports farmers and everyone working in agriculture, and is a charity that is relevant for many of our pupils who come from farming families and backgrounds. As usual, pupils embraced fundraising and raised an impressive £3,590 over the term through a range of events including the Portland Half Marathon and 10k run.
The Chairman of FCN commented, ‘The Farming Community Network (FCN) would like to thank William for nominating us and for all the effort from the pupils of King's Bruton for increasing awareness of our charity and for raising the incredible amount of £3,590. This donation will help us continue to support farmers during challenging times and to provide opportunity to get farmers ‘off farm’ to meet others to try and combat isolation. Thank you so much.’
