On Bank Holiday Monday, the King’s KSB Motorsport Greenpower Team took part in the Somerscience Festival, held at the Haynes Motor Museum. This year saw over 5,000 visitors attend. The Team had their own stand at the event, proudly presenting the Junior Team’s electric race car, showing and sharing the story behind the project.
Team members Hamish, Jamie and Oscar were on hand throughout the day, speaking to a steady stream of visitors about the design, engineering and teamwork that goes into building and racing a Greenpower car. They confidently explained the challenges of the project and how much they have gained from taking part - from developing practical STEM skills to working under pressure and problem solving as a team.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity to promote the Greenpower programme that King's Bruton offers all our pupils, and members of both the Senior and Junior Teams were proud to be able to share their experiences with a wider audience and to celebrate the hard work and enthusiasm of the KSB Motorsport Team. Well done to all involved and for representing the School so well.
