Hazlegrove Year 5 Visit to the King's Art Department

Art Prep School Days

What a wonderful afternoon it was welcoming all of Hazlegrove's Year 5 pupils to the King's Art Department to experience some of the exciting activities we have on offer.

Our first activity involved creating a human animation on the Memorial Lawn, which proved to be tremendous fun. Many thanks to Rev Bev for bringing out his drone and capturing some fantastic footage of the occasion.

The pupils remained in their school classes throughout the afternoon and rotated between ceramics, painting and silversmithing workshops over the course of two hours. Fast-paced, creative and hands-on, the activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The pupils impressed us with their confidence, enthusiasm and willingness to get fully involved in every task.

It was also delightful to see Mrs Thomas, Mrs Spilsbury and Mr Lee enthusiastically joining in with the activities. Mr Baker was given the challenge of completing one of the ceramic jugs and rose to the occasion with aplomb. There are clearly many talented artists at Hazlegrove!

It was a real pleasure to host the pupils, and we look forward to welcoming them back again in the future.
